Tasting Notes: The is textbook Vermentino di Gallura, an iconic white wine from Sardegna. Floral aromas of orange blossom and hawthorn mingle with orchard fruit, apples, quince and a distinctive sea-spray salinity on the palate. The finish is long, begging for grilled fish with capers and olives.
Estate History: The Capichera estate is a family-owned winery located in the municipality of Arzachena, in the heart of the Gallura region of Sardinia. The Ragnedda family, owners of the estate, were pioneers in recognizing the potential of the native Vermentino grape, initiating the first single-varietal vinification of this grape in the late 1970s. Through decades of dedication and innovation, Capichera has established itself as one of Sardinia's most prestigious producers, renowned for crafting wines that express the unique character of the Gallura terroir.
