Tasting Notes: La Firma is made from Aglianico grown on the slopes of Monte Vulture, an extinct volcano in Basilicata. It shows a deep ruby-garnet color and aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cocoa, tobacco and spice. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with firm tannins, lively acidity and a long, mineral finish. Decant and serve with roast lamb, game or aged pecorino.
Estate History: Cantine del Notaio was founded by Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, whose wines take their names from the language of his father's notary profession.
