Tasting Notes: Canalicchio di Sopra is a family estate on the northern slopes of Montalcino, run by the Ripaccioli family and known for elegant, precise Brunello. Made from 100% Sangiovese and aged in large oak casks, it shows red cherry, wild strawberry, violet and orange peel with notes of leather, dried herbs and sweet spice, fine-grained tannins and a long, fresh finish. A beautiful match for bistecca, roast lamb or aged Pecorino, with the structure to age for many years.
